Yes. Trophy Scan is free to download, and scanning, field scoring, cloud storage, and sharing are all included at no cost. Certified scoring, verified by industry experts, is available as a paid upgrade when you need an official score.
How Accurate Is Trophy Scan’s Antler Scoring Software?
Trophy Scan scores are accurate to within 1% of certified manual scoring. Because the app measures a full 3D scan of your actual antlers, not an estimate from a photo, you get the same result every time you scan the same rack.
Can Trophy Scan score a deer from a photo?
No, and that's on purpose. A photo only shows one angle, so photo-based apps have to estimate measurements like mass and tine length. Trophy Scan uses your iPhone's LiDAR sensor to capture the entire rack in 3D, so every measurement comes from the antlers themselves.

Trophy Scan provides scores in Boone & Crockett and SCI formats, along with total volume from our patented Volumetrics software.

What animals can Trophy Scan score?
Trophy Scan currently scores whitetail deer, mule deer, and elk. We're working on more species, so contact us if there's one you'd like to see.
Can I score a mounted deer or older antlers?
Yes. You can scan a fresh harvest in the field, a mount on your wall, or antlers from years past, and save each one as a 3D model.
Does Trophy Scan work without an internet connection?
Yes. Scanning and scoring work fully offline, so you can use the app in remote hunting areas with no signal. You'll only need a connection to sync scans to the cloud or post to the Public Trophy Room.
Does Trophy Scan work in low light?
It works best in natural or evenly lit conditions. Scans may still work in low light, but poor lighting can reduce accuracy. For the most reliable score, scan in daylight or a well-lit room, and contact us if you run into issues.
